Since its inception in 1980, BISFF has been committed to uncovering new talent in Korean short films while fostering the global growth of short cinema. Over the years, the festival has reached several significant milestones — becoming the first Korean film festival to receive Oscar® Qualifying status, presenting a special BISFF retrospective at the Cinémathèque Française, and earning recognition as a YouTube Silver Creator.
